What we collect, and why

FirstMention is published by GVTLabs. This page says what the site collects when you use it, why, and the choice you have.

When you send us a form

Claiming a page, adding handles we have not indexed yet, requesting brand access and writing to us all send us what you type: your name, email, the handles or links you give, and for brands your company, role and message. We also keep the time, your IP address and your browser's name with each request, only to stop spam and repeated sends. We use all of it to do what you asked and to reply to you, and nothing else. We keep it while we deal with your request and for as long as we work together after that. Ask us and we will delete it.

Site statistics

We count visits with Plausible. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data: we see totals, such as how many people visited a page, never who they were.

Ad cookies, only if you say yes

We advertise FirstMention on LinkedIn and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). If you accept the cookie bar, the site loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta pixel. They set cookies that tell LinkedIn and Meta you visited, which pages you saw, and whether you sent one of our forms, but never what you wrote in it or what you searched for. That shows us which ads work, and lets us show our ads again to people who have visited. LinkedIn and Meta handle this data under their own privacy policies: LinkedIn and Meta.

If you say no, or choose nothing, neither tag loads, and the site works exactly the same. Your choice is kept in your browser. You can change it at any time: .

The index itself

The FirstMention index is built from the answers AI assistants give to public questions, and from creators' public accounts. If you are a creator and something about you is wrong, claim your page and tell us.

Your rights, and how to reach us

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to us through the form on How it works and we will reply within two working days.
