The world's most famous brand, Coca Cola has been around for a long time, and small wonder. Even without the benefit of a few coca leaves that spiced up the original concoction, the drink has quite a kick. Things really do go better with Coke.

Coca Cola made its appearance as a tonic back in 1886, but the First Mention we found for Coca Cola was this April 26, 1887 advertisement from the Columbus Daily Enquirer in Georgia:

The Great Headache Specific. Delicioius
refreshing, exhilerating, invigorating.
The new and popular soda fountain drink,
containing the tonic properties of the
wonderful Coca Plant and the famous
Cola Nuts. EVANS & HOWARD, at the
Central Drug Store, furnish it fresh from
their Soda Fount.

And not to be missed, this gem from the Galveston Daily News May 19, 1891.

Ahhh! What I wouldn't give for an ice cold brain tonic right about now.
